Local knowledge
Original 1950s ductwork in Willowick has usually never been cleaned.
Willowick housing runs to postwar bungalows with masonry chimneys and basement furnaces on the original ductwork. Lake Erie is a few miles north of every home in the county. Lake effect snow piles on chimney crowns, wind driven rain finds gaps in flashing, and the temperature crosses freezing forty to fifty times a winter.
We work across the compact streets between Lakeshore Blvd and Vine Street, so we know what these homes need and what tends to go wrong in them.

Chimneys should be inspected at least once a year, especially if they are frequently used. Regular inspections help identify and address potential issues before they become major problems.
Yes, repairing your chimney ensures proper ventilation and reduces energy loss, making your fireplace more efficient and potentially lowering your heating costs.
White staining, loose or flaking brick, cracked crown, rust on the damper, water stains near the fireplace or bits of tile in the firebox are the common signs. A camera inspection confirms it.
Many can. Caps, liners, dampers and some masonry work are year round. Mortar and crown work needs the right temperatures, and we plan around the forecast.
