Local knowledge
Highland Heights housing runs to 1960s to 1980s colonials and ranches, many with brick fireplaces added during a remodel. The east side sits in the snowbelt and the west side takes the wind straight off Lake Erie, and everywhere in between the temperature crosses freezing dozens of times a winter. Cuyahoga has the oldest housing stock in Northeast Ohio, so century brick with unlined clay flues and 1950s ranches with original ductwork are what we see most.
