Local knowledge
Solon housing runs to 1990s to 2000s colonials with prefab fireplaces, long dryer vent runs and finished basements. The east side sits in the snowbelt and the west side takes the wind straight off Lake Erie, and everywhere in between the temperature crosses freezing dozens of times a winter. Cuyahoga has the oldest housing stock in Northeast Ohio, so century brick with unlined clay flues and 1950s ranches with original ductwork are what we see most.
