Local knowledge
Painesville is the county seat and has some of the oldest chimneys we work on. Camera inspection before any repair is essential.
Painesville housing runs to Victorian and century homes with tall brick chimneys, plus postwar neighborhoods on the edges. Lake Erie is a few miles north of every home in the county. Lake effect snow piles on chimney crowns, wind driven rain finds gaps in flashing, and the temperature crosses freezing forty to fifty times a winter.
We work across the historic district around the square, the streets off Mentor Avenue and the neighborhoods near Lake Erie College, so we know what these homes need and what tends to go wrong in them.
